Valentine's day began with the Romans who had a festival called Lupercalia in the middle of February (the start of their spring). "It's thought that as part of the celebrations, boys drew names of girls from a box. They'd be boyfriend and girlfriend during the festival and sometimes they'd get married."

Later on, the church wanted to turn this festival into a Christian celebration and decided to use it to remember St Valentine too.

But Love as we know is so much bigger than just romantic love and on the 14th of February 2018 we will be Celebrate love with a show inspired by UNITY created by the Kurma Kitchen.

It will be a 5 course dinner showcasing fresh & local island produce which we interpret by recreating the simple to extravagant. We invite you to enjoy this shared moment of love as we present our love for cooking and for our home, Camiguin."
